Durban, South Africa, in the 1960's (a film being shot in England?)

Folks -

I have a weird request. A film-maker has contacted me via our web pages
searching for flowers and foliage appropriate to the film footage they need
to shoot. It seems they need the 'look' of a suburban garden in Durban in
the 1960's, as well as some roadside shots and the vegetation that would be
found there as well. I have no contact in Durban, and have been doing some
internet searching which not gotten me far as yet. As Durban is not in the
mediterranean climate area, this is not an avenue I wish to spend a lot of
time on, but I did want to try and help this fellow out if possible. Does
anyone out there have contacts in Durban who garden or know gardens, the
history of gardens in the area, and have enough botanical savvy to be able
to help these folks bring together an artificial landscape that looks like
Durban? I think the film is being shot in England (at least it seems like
it according to my brief communication so far). Any assistance would be
gretly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
