Fellow Medit-Plants-persons -
I am researching a possible trip to Palermo, Italy, for my wife and I,
during the latter half of October, 2000. I'm interested in anyone's
reaction to having visited/stayed there. I am also looking into low-cost
accommodations. If anyone knows of cheap but good hotels, hostels, or of
someone who might be interested in hosting our stay, please let me
know. We would be attending the Mediterranean Garden Society's Annual
General Meeting in Palermo on October 20th, but would also be interested in
possibly visiting other areas in Italy or neighboring countries either
before or after that date. I might be coaxed to speak to garden groups in
these areas in exchange for hosting or assistance. Any information or
direction for my research would be greatly appreciated. This would be our
first trip to Europe, so we may have a lot to learn before we depart!
