I have written a fierce letter to your editor and I hope it does a bit
of good. 
I find it an incredibly irresponsble attitude for what I presume is a
Govt. Dept. Doesn't your government realize haw unique your ecology is
both in its plants and in its anumals? I can only suppost thay are like
so many other govts. driven by the great god Money to the exclusion of
good sense. Don't you have any sort of watchdog like our Dept of
Conservation?

I do hope you have success with your campaign. I remember there was an
ecological "save " (some area which was going to be flooded I think)
engineered in Tassy some years ago with the help of David Bellamy, so it
must be possible.
