Einion,
I can find no information on some of the species you list in my Australian Flora, which probably means they are not considered particularly ornamental....perhaps their hardiness is their major attribute.
The ones I can find info on are :
Large:
A. jonesii , adunca, mearnsii, retinodes, saligna, vestita, victoriae, mucronata, obliquinerva,
Smaller:
Every body else!
 No info on filicifolia, frigescens, galpinii, kybeanensis, motteana, patacziki, rivalis.
Let me know if you want more info on particular ones.
 
oh yes, A. spectabilis....well known, the Mudgee wattle, small tree, glaucous foliage and white trunk
