A friend gave me a similar recipe for a liqueur made from cherry pits
(Italian via San Jose) and the spirit required is Vodka, so as not to
conflict with the flavor.

Alessandra- sounds like something unusual worth trying once! Does the recipe
give any suggestions as to the spirit to be used? Vodka? Rum?
