Many thanks for your suggestions: I've printed out those that you and
Margaret have suggested, and I shall keep my eyes well-peeled! I've potted on
my A.riceana into a rather bigger pot, so I'm hoping it will soon be showing
its appreciation of more comfortable living quarters.

I also found your book list very interesting, particularly your reference to
the Cave & Paddison book. I've not even seen a copy of it anywhere as yet,
although it is available in the UK. I've no doubt that I will probably buy a
copy before too long.
