Easter Sunday we went for a wild flower walk on the plateaus of Mount Ida in
Crete (Gerakari) and found a rare field of wild tulips in full bloom. There
were several cars of tourists parked nearby enjoying them and the field
orchids, lupines, euphorbia and all the other wonderful plants in their
natural state. One could argue forever if these are "California plants" or
"Greek plants" but why bother? Wherever these marvels exist, it is Mother
Nature's domain...not man's.
