Would people who write asking for suitable plants, or other advice for
their area please remember always to state where they live. Not
everybody on this list lives on the California coast, nor even on the
shores of the real Mediterannean! :-)
In fact, many members live in temperate zones all around the world, and
while climatic conditions in the various places may all approximate to
"Mediterannean" there are wide variations in detail.
Would the large number of members who do live on the California coast
please try to remember to look at writers' home email address, since -
if outside the US - these will usually indicate which country they are
in. However, even within one country - such as Australia - an address
that ends in .au still does not tell one very much, since it is a huge
country with climates ranging between temperate and tropical, some
places very wet, and others extremely dry.
