RE: Early Spring Blooming Trees (everyone)


The stone fruits--flowering plum, cherry, apricot, and peach--were at their
glory during that period. Crabapples followed soon after (early this year?).
Redbuds bloom right about mid-March, along with ceanothus (great
combination: western redbud with Ray Hartman ceanothus behind it!). I'm sure
there's more, but those are the trees that really popped out for me.

Now, the dogwoods are just past their peak, Chinese fringe tree is at its
peak, and the wisteria is lovely here in the Santa Clara valley.
