Think I answered Joe direct, about my Montanoa blooming heavily in winter followed by 8 bright pink peach trees, cherries, pears, nectarine, plums, quince , paulownia tormentosa, forgot to mention the avocado, many citrus, dogwoods, redbuds and lilacs. I know they aren't considered trees but people visiting my garden get teary-eyed over the lilacs. The fragrance of the lilac brings back strong childhood memories of where they grew up (usually midwest states) it does for me also. So many people say they had no idea we could grow fragrant lilacs here but I have 4 and they are just as fragrant as those of my childhood in Kansas. Carolyln in Los Gatos
