To All: About 4 years ago, I
planted a batch of small ground cover plants that were dubbed by the grower as
"Gold Coin." I have forgotten their Latin name, and since I haven't seen
it since in any nurseries, I hoped someone might have the ID for me. It
has grown to dense mounds about 1ft. tall and 2ft. wide. the leaves are
small: 1/2 to 1" ,tongue-shaped, and covered with small white hairs, as are the
stems and sepals. They cover themselves right now and less densely
throughout the summer with 1-1/4" open-faced, gold flowers. Each of the
numerous ray flowers has three tiny teeth at the end of the 1/2"
petal. They are evergreen, and receive occasional water during the growing
season. Thanks so much,
