HELLO,
My name is Nancy R. Wilson. I am Jane Reese's sister-in-law,
I have a small business of propagating species and small Narcissus.
I have been doing research on the use of narcissus in the perfume
industry. I have had contact with the Perfume Museum in Grasse and
other botanists in France but have had no luck in getting answers to
several vital questions for my research. They are:
1. Where are the Narcissus grown and are they grown commercially or
just picked from the wild?
2. How many metric tons are picked a year?
I know that they are picked around Sailligouse, France and
in 1920 approximately 29 metric tons were picked but I do not know
what the modern industry demands. If anyone knows where I can get
this information I would be delighted to receive it or fo llow up on
suggestions.
