Re: blowing petals

Hi Diana
This lack of appreciation bought back to my mind (after more than 50 years) a conversation between two women I caught while riding a bus in Nairobi. They were discussing the buying of new house and one was saying to another something like" of course we couldn't consider that one it had JACARANDAS up the drive -SO untidy!"

I'm glad to see that I'm not alone in appreciating evidence in the landscape of seasons passing at the expense of straight edges and sterile lawns. One of my favorite scenes is the carpet of bright yellow autumn leaves under Ginko biloba. Good for a week or two.
