Re: lavender Q

Hello Gill:

Sounds lovely. Can I find it at Filippi's in Mčze? Know of any other sources closer to the Spanish border or in Catalunya? Thanks.

Lavandula viridis from Portugal has greeny lemony scented foliage, and green flowers of the stoechas type. Seems to prefer stoechas type growing conditions as well, ie acid soil; also good drainage - mine gets very humpy in cold wet weather. But it makes a lovely contrast with other lavenders esp other stoechas types/hydrids such as St Brelade (also greenish flowers) and Helmsdale

Which species/variety of lavender has green leaves rather than gray/green or silver?
