Title: garden tour in san diego
Hi All
Those of you in or around San Diego - I would like to invite you
to a wonderful day of garden tours.
The Encinitas Garden Festival includes self-guided
walking tours of 30 + private gardens in a compact neighborhood in
downtown Encinitas. The gardens include every style you might
imagine from Mediterranean to Asian, native to Thai, artist to cottage
and everything in between.
The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm and also includes a gardeners'
marketplace in a downtown area park. Marketplace vendors will be
offering plants, worm bins, garden artworks etc. The Patricia
Rincon Dance Collective will be performing original, garden-inspired
dances both in the park and in some of the gardens.
The marketplace is free but the tour requires a ticket which is
$12 before May 10 and $15 after that day (if there are any tickets
left).
Getting to the event is half the fun. The Coaster (the
local train) is having a two for one sale that day and the station is
walking distance to the park where registration and the marketplace
will take place

One more thing - There are still slots open for half-day
volunteer shifts. All volunteers receive free admission to
the tour gardens.
