RE: Eucalyptus polyanthemos


This species will definitely grow taller than 30 to 40
feet tall, and if you don't want this size, it is the
wrong tree in the wrong place.  I might suggest that
you use one of the smaller growing Eucalyptus with
interesting silvery foliage.  I don't have my Sunset
Western Garden book handy, and am having a brain
freeze, but the one they use for cut foliage, E.
pulverulenta(?) is more likely to stay less than 30
feet tall, but needs to be pruned back occasionally to
keep the more interesting juvenile foliage.

E. polyanthemos would require too much regular pruning
to keep it at this size...
