 Dear Annie,
 
 Its definitely a Phytolacca. I've been wanting to call it that. There was a list of possible species included with the seed packet. Phytolacca is not on it. Plant World of Devon's web site claims that the seeds in the packet were all collected in the wild by them in Chile. Phytolacca bogotensis is found in the Chilean Andes. Are you, or anyone else out there familiar with it?

 How about Phytolacca acinosa . Mine is blooming right now also and acinosa is not invasive . Beautiful berries too.
