[medit-plants] Re: Centaurea ragusina - Thank You!!

Hi Horace -

Nice to hear from you!  Hope Susan is doing better.

That’s so cool that you have a memory of this plant and want to grow it for that reason.  I can relate, as I outline in my story about this species and how I came to learn about it -

I’ve emailed you separately about a friend not far from you who may have a plant (she got it from me years ago).

I have always been interested in people’s stories about the plants they grow (or have grown).  Many of the plants we have in our garden today such stories, sometimes connected to gardening friends who are no longer with us.

Hello, Sean,

Thank you for your recent article about Centaurea ragusina. This is a plant from my distant childhood memories. Now I know what it is!
My grandmother grew this and it was so different from the other plants in her garden I could not help but notice it. No family member ever remembered as I did when she passed away.
Thank you for giving me the latin name. Now all I have to do it find someone growing it!

Horace
