SPRING

It's a hot spring here in Los Angeles and everything in the garden is
ablaze with color.  My David Austin roses are finally in bloom this
year - after a two year wait, together with my hybrid teas, mixed
bed of Olympia (dark red), Sterling Silver (lilac), Perfume Delight
(hot pink), Sheer Bliss (white tinged with pink), and Oregold (yellow)
which stand before a lattice fence covered with climbing roses -
Blaze (hot red) and Iceberg (fragrant white).  At the planters near
the front door are blooming white star jasmine next to penta, a double
white datura, heuchera, milkweed, lantana interspersed with lavendar,
calla lillies and ferns under a pine tree.
