re: Easter at Walnut Hill

Dear Trevor,
Many thanks for your garden description, which arrived today, just before
our Easter. Our March has been the coldest in nearly 17 years, so our
spring had been delayed. Wayne Roderick's garden of bulbs is absolutely
charming and long lasting, the cold has done a lot for it. His daffodils
and frittillaries are perky and fresh.
I would give a lot to sit somewhere and watch the little blue birds you
have in Australia. I first saw them in Canberra at the botanic garden, and
went back every day to watch them.
Again, thanks for the description of your autumn garden,
Elly Bade
