As the 'spamming' problem seems to be far more widespread than I had
thought, I am sending this note to the group to let everyone know what
action I took in response to the problem (see below). I've been getting a
number of notes from subscribers wondering what was up, with hurt feelings,
and other types of reactions. I suspect that this was in fact a prank
played upon some person somewhere, but am not going to look into the matter
futher (unless it happens again).
Thanks for everyone's patience with this and don't worry, we all like to
hear from you and do not feel that you generate 'spam' material! ;-)
