Chantal:

Are you familiar with these relatives of S. glutinosa: S. koyamae, with
clear yellow flowers, and S. nipponica `Fuji Snow'?  The latter is
variegated and much more compact.  Available in Europe, but not in the USA
(as far as I know) is a hybrid of glutinosa with S. flava var. megalantha
(formerly identified as S. bulleyana) with Amber as part of its name.  This
should also be considered.
