Hi Folks -- sometimes I miss important stuff and I think I may have missed something this time, so please help me out. I just went searching for the medit plants website and my old links don't seem to work. Neither does the link to the "official list page" on the Mallorn website which is where all of our correspondence is archived and our subscription information listed.

What did I miss?

Hi Nan -

The medit-plants website is now hosted by the Mediterranean Garden Society and can be found via www.MediterraneanGardenSociety.org (see the links at the bottom of this entry page).

It is interesting that you raise this topic just now - I am in the process of reorganizing the site and possible splitting it off onto it own domain (to help solve various behind-the-scenes problems as well as help alleviate confusion between the mediterranean climate gardening pages and the MGS pages themselves. Trying to consider an appropriate domain name has been tricky. Medit-Plant.org is not quite broad enough, to my mind. Since the title of the site has always been "mediterranean climate gardening throughout the world" (quite a mouthful!), I wondered if www.mcgttw.org might be appropriate (it is quite a mouthful itself!). I am also considering the e-mail addresses that would follow (info@mcgttw.org). I would be interested to know if there are opinions out there - the web site did grow out of Medit-Plants and still has some connection to that forum (though perhaps not quite as close as might be assumed).

The archives for Medit-Plants can be found at: http://www.hort.net/lists/medit-plants/.
