This is a terrible weed.
I have almost got rid of mine, that arrived I believe on a plant in a
gallon container.
Interesting considering the previous conversation about getting rid
of grass. But I have tried both the teenager with the strong back
(or in the case to do a tedious job while listening to loud music via
his iPod) and I must admit, RoundUp on the little ones that have
popped back up (mostly among crevices that would be impossible to dig
and get the little bulblets.
We watered well first and then he patiently used a trowel to life out
sections and put through a screen. It takes times, just like
Bermuda grass.

A friend sent me this question:
Do you know how to kill the insidious onion weed? I don't know the
species but the bulb has many bulblets that drop off into the soil
when you attempt to dig out the bulb. Also, the seeds are ever
present and propagate like mad. Some kind person gave me this bulb
as a gift and I have been working on its eradication ever since.
One of my areas has been weeded with soil removed down 10".
Any suggestions?
