I tried croscomias for the first time this year (they are not very common in Portugal). Bought a few of the lucifer variety and a few of the common orange variety. Both bloomed months ago in early spring and are drying out now. Bothe receive full sun for the most of the day and didn't receive that much water (once a week).
Chasmanthes are a lot bigger that croscomias and they flower during late winter, early spring.
