Does anyone know if Cosmos are edible? I was going to put some of the
orange ones on a carrot cake for decoration (not necessarily to be eaten
along with the frosting), but I though I had better check to see if anyone
knows if they exude any toxic or nasty substances.
Karrie I guess I am probably too late by now to be much use to you , but
even the most complete list of edible plants (the Wikipedia one) does not
mention Cosmos. On the the hand this does not appear either in the only
poisonoius flower list I could find.
I think one may assume it is not good to eat (probably tastes funny) ,
though could be used for decoration if folks are advised to admire but not
to ingest.
