Re: in place of jasmine

I love too the Liriope muscari, plain and variegated foliage.
I planted in 2005 one plant of Epimedium x perralchicum in full shade (under deciduous shrubs) here in Montpellier. He is not very happy but flowers every year in april and then the foliage is very awful in summer (too dry for him).

Does anyone have any experience with Epimedium, good for dry shade in Britain but in a Med climate????

Anyone got a dry growing groundcover to suggest in place of Jasmine in a courtyard with morning sun?  Pelargonium tomentosum comes to mind for me ... can you suggest anything else?
