The herbal Ferulas are most difficult to obtain viable seed of and then get
to germinate --- one reason I'd like to see someone in California or the
Southwest grow it. Ferula communis and another species can become real
thugs. I dont recall the latter's specific name, just that it can get 6 - 8
feet tall, and that the furanocoumarins are potent sensitizers for dermal
problems. The specific name sounded Armenian, began with "h", and was
polysyllabic.
