Re: Perovskia


When I started this garden, I decided I was going to "do it right" and dig 
lots of organic matter - compost, manure, etc - into the soil.  That's been 
great for some things but in the next place, I'm definitely going to have 
one big sunny section where I supplement the Seattle glacial till soil with 
nothing but more gravel to make it drain a little better.  Then I can grow 
tight verbascums and scrawny Perovskia just like nature intended. :)
