Landscape designers

Dear Members,
I thoroughly enjoy reading all of your very knowledgeable messages.  I am
hoping that you can perhaps recommend or suggest a landscape designer.  This
would be someone who loves Tuscan gardens and Mediterranean plants and yet
has an intimate relationship with California natives.
I am in Zone 9, I believe; 10 miles up the Butte Creek Canyon, just east of
Chico.  We have about 4 acres that need landscaping. The rest is being left
to its own natural devices.  Deer abound!
If you know of anyone close to this area that you would recommend (someone
you'd invite to advise in your own garden) please let me know.
