	A "flame war" is when one or more people start getting negative. It
can erupt with a number of people joining in and the eventual result can be
up to and including complete destruction of the list.
	We had one on another list, probably a year or more ago. It still
isn't back to what it was. People say things that probably shouldn't be
said and it's hard to apologize genuinely on e-mail. You kind of have to
see a person's eyes.
	And then again, some people use the anonymity of e-mail to say
things they wouldn't say in person. It's like being in uniform. A lot of my
friends overseas used the anonymity to do things they wouldn't do at home!
	I will not participate in such antics!			---Chas---
