I ditto that. I have propagated several varieties of Acacias from seed --
they are _very_ easy, especially when the seed is fresh. My method is
similar to the above: put the seeds in a coffee cup, pour boiling water over
them (fill up the cup) and then let it sit overnight. Some of the seeds will
actually be sprouting by morning! It is easy to tell which seeds will
germinate immediately, as they *plump up* and look quite different from the
seeds that aren't viable. Sean, I think the fire idea is a good one,
although I have never found it necessary as the boiling water works like a
charm.
