This technique also works quite well for the native Lupinus arboreus. I
gathered some seeds, put them in a cup of boiling water, let them soak for
a night and planted them. Now i have about five L. arboreus seedlings
growing in my yard.
It works for the Ceanothuses also (the smell of the "tea" smells kind of
fruity also :).
