Wonderful plant, no? Here, where it grows wild, you often see all of the
bushes in flower at once. The plants in my neighbors garden are watered
too much so they got big and rangy. Where they dont get any water except
from winter rain, they are much more compact, and a lot smaller (4 feet
vs. 6 feet as in my neighbors yard). I have also seen a few beautiful
specimens at Aņo Nuevo park 20 miles north of Santa Cruz.
