Late Summer Flowers

In addition to those plants mentioned in earlier posts, I would add the
wonderful Aster x frikartii 'Monch', Aster lateriflororus (both
'Horizontalis' and 'Prince'), various Heleniums, Salvia confertiflora
(blooming from now until December) and Helianthus angustifolius (not quite
blooming yet). All of these (with a lot of other Salvias) are the mainstay
of my late summer/early autumn Los Angeles garden.
