Here is the original site with the Aussie tessalations that I mentioned.

Andrew Crompton's "Grotesque Geometry" site is at:

be prepared to spend some time! It is so much fun and wonderful food for
thought!
This educational site below explains the math and has several methods for
creating your own, including not only hand methods but also the use of
various graphics and web programs. It is part of the Math Forum:

Incidentally, the Math Forum in general is a wonderful resource for
teachers of math or parents.
Hmmmm...maybe this is not quite as "offtopic" as I had thought since we
have mentioned the Alhambra. (Oi, how I wish that I could hear David's
talk!) Perhaps it does not house the oldest tesselations, but some of the
tiling in the palace and gardens is incredible. If you go to Grenada,
don't miss it: give it a day or even a few if at all possible.
