is an
astonishing sight when covered with miridas of blkue spikes. I definitely
love this plant, and actually I've just ordered five for the Academy
gardens.
In a place called Fort Davis, Texas, an area that is dry, hot and mountainous
has some of Vitex trees lining the downtown area. They do not get very big
because of the yearly droughts but they are beautiful in this arid climate.
Here, the winds of fall are very strong and most of these little trees have
"distorted," knarled trunks and the effect is beautiful.
Mine here in Houston area, Texas bloom heavily in the spring and fall with
spurts of blooms throughout the summer.
