Tristram - It'll do fine with you and is well worth growing. It flourishes
in all the milder parts of the UK ( including here on the Solway Coast in
Cumbria - and right up to the top of Scotland on or near the west coast) -
and even in some parts which aren't mild at all. 'Rhodo conditions' suit it
perfectly.

The white-flowered C. patagua is also worth considering.
