Interesting list! No actual rhodos? Given any provocation or none, Einion will wax lyrical about the attractions of some of the more tender species, both for foliage and for flower (and scent).. If you turn your face resolutely against rhodos-as-rhodos, what about those handsome rhodo-relatives the daphniphyllums? Mildly acid, semi-shaded, sheltered woodland conditions are ideal for them.
