I am on the board of the San Diego Horticultural Society and we have
just released Ornamental Trees of San Diego, Mediterranean climate
trees for the garden. Photos are by SDHS founder Don Walker and text
by Steve Brigham, owner of Buena Creek Gardens. The book is 136
pages, 400 color photos and more. Price $34.95 plus tax and shipping
and can be purchased at www.sdhortsoc.org.
This is one of those books that includes information on where each
tree can be viewed in situ from a public location.
And now for the advertisement: Buy one for your sweetie or your best
friend (if they are not the same person), favorite library, or
grandmother!

There are quite a few books available with this kind
of title. Some of the best are "Trees of Santa
Monica", "Trees of Santa Barbara", and "Trees of San
Diego". But I know of MANY more.
I know of them, have HAD them, but my library is now
devoid of such.
Could those of you who have these books share some
info with me (and the forum)?
What did you pay for the book, how many pages, where
did you buy it, what do you like best about it, etc.?
I'd truly be indebted if you happen to know the
authors/editors and can connect me with them.
And what's the latest on reprints, upcoming new
editions, etc.
