Dear All,
How about them roses? So
many to choose from and so many that enjoy our Mediterranean climate(s).
Currently in my garden which is at about 350 feet of elevation in the east bay
hills (with a view of the Golden Gate bridge) of the San Francisco bay area, I
am growing:
Rosa x
'Mermaid'
Rosa x 'Chevy
Chase'
Rosa x 'Excellenz Von
Schubert'
Rosa chinensis
mutabilis
Rosa
californica
Rosa
gymnocarpa
Rosa
nutkaensis
I was never much of a rose
fan until 7 or so years ago when they finally struck my fancy. I started with
our California natives, but soon came to desire more flowers and colors. That
said, what do you all think? What other rose varieties are of merit in our
climate?
Regards, Tim
Kalman
