Off the beaten track

 I will be leaving soon to spend New Year's exploring the Amazon by small
 boat.  I will be flying via Lima, Peru where I will have limited time, and
 Iquitos,
 where I will have a day each coming and going.  Have any of you been there?
 Do you have any ideas of unique places and gardens to visit while I'm there?
