Coconut Palm

Today i was at OSH and i was in the nursery section. It was raining hard so i
took a stroll down the indoor plant aisle. Amongst the various palms, i found
a seedling coconut palm. The seed was still there. Im wondering ( since the
leaves hadnt split into leaflets) how long will this thing last outside in
the covered awning that protects the outdoor plants. I know it gets at least
40 degrees in there and weve had temperatures of at least 32 degrees F ,bound
to get a little colder. Its not even that humid there either. So do any of
you know how long the coconut palm will last there?
BTW they manage to keep Ficus Benjamina's there all year, and Dracena's also.
