Yes your right Tristan it is on someones list of noxious weeds
Hypericum perforatum that is, and rather astute of you to consider
the spp. biological nature.
St Johns Wort is a declared Noxious spp. in Western Australia
it causes significant problems with stock being posioned, or increased
incidence of abortions, reduced milk yields and a contact dermititus in
some people.
The symptons of the posioning are quite unusual and would be very
distressing to the stock,
I won't go into detail, needless to say the plant is not to welcome in
this state.
