Three nurseries that may have what your mother is looking for are
Viburnum Gardens in NSW, Heronswood in Dromana, Vic or Woodbank in Tas -
all do mail order but not sure whether they send to WA - it can
sometimes be tricky because of the quarantine restrictions.
In Victoria, Yamina Rare Plants and Dicksonia Nursery are also likely to
have purple flowered clematis - they don't do mail order - but they do
very occasionally ship plants (mainly wholesale though) - WA may be a
problem because of the special permits required.
If contacted these nurseries may have other suggestions. Don't have any
of the contact details with me - Telstra will probably be able to
provide phone numbers, but if not email me and I will do some more
homework!
Good luck
