heres something scandalous:
Instead of those boring endemic pine forests lets replace them with any
of the Phyllostachys bamboos. Underplant that with oxalis pes capre,
add some Equisetum arvense. For the grasses we canot forget Pennesetum
clandestinum (Kikuyu grass), and bermuda grass. We could also add some
Ailianthus for interest. To top it all off, some senecio as well, and
pampas grass.
