Of course, the oaks I mentioned are also found in drier habitats, but that's 
not where they reach their peak of perfection.  I'm sure you've seen at least 
pictures of the beautiful old Black Oaks in Yosemite Valley arching over the 
Merced River, with their toes in the water nearly year-round.
