Once you get started thinking about fragrant plants,
you realize that there are always more that you forgot
to mention. This is one of those "must have" plants
for an early spring show of purple flowers which just
light up the whole shrub, fully equal to the hybrid
Leptospermum scoparium varieties for really being a
colorful accent in the landscape. There is still time
to plant one to get the peak show, but you better
hurry. UC Santa Cruz Arboretum and Suncrest Nursery
both carry this and other varieties, and they are all
interesting, if not equally showy.
