Hi Cali (and anyone else who might be interested),
You should be able to type a C with a cedilla (and there are lots of
other funny characters one can achieve similarly!) if you use the ALT
key together with the numeric pad (at the right-hand end of most
keyboards) Num Lock must be ON.
NB. This does NOT work with the numeric keys across the top of the
keyboard.
Hold down the ALT and type 640 this produces Ç (upper case)
- while if you do the same, but type 647, you will get ç (lower case)
Another very useful one is the degree sign, ALT + 248 °
Want any more? How about the tilde?
ALT + 676 ñ and ALT + 677 Ñ
