Re: Wild Garlic

Carol - As for

Tim - can you really separate cooking from gardening?

the answer is that I find it harder and harder to separate anything from
anything - and the ever-expanding World Of Inseparables certainly includes
gardening and cooking.

About 10 years ago there was a wonderful couple of years for anyone
similarly afflicted, during which the elaborately literate and thoughtful
subscription-only UK gardening quarterly named Hortus spawned a similar
culinary offspring named Convivium. Alas it presumably didn't go (or running
the two together was too much like work and too little like joyful
obsession) because it died after the second year. (At least until very
recently the owners were still selling off copies very cheaply - may still
be.) Nowadays I have to get my regular fix of the culinary and cultural whys
and hows and wherefores of odd ethnic cuisines from Tom Jaine's magazine and
press, Les Petits Propos Culinaires - which is splendid but a bit too
detailed and solid for my frivolous taste.

Cali - Many thanks for the recipe. Safely printed out and definitely to be
tried!

Tim
